Do you need a fishing license in Aruba?
No. Tourists do not require any license while Fishing in Aruba. You should also know that you have to release any Billfish that you may catch. One more thing that tourists have to keep in mind is that spearfishing in prohibited in Aruba.
How much does it cost to go deep sea fishing?
When you go on a Deep Sea Fishing trip with us, you can choose among our different packages. We do not charge per head, but for the whole group, which can include up to 6 people.
- Aruba Fishing Four Hour Trip for $500
These include drinks like Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite, water and ice too. There are two slots for you to choose from. The morning slot starts from 8 AM to 12 PM and the afternoon slot is from 1 PM to 5 PM. - Aruba Fishing Six Hour Trip for $750
These include drinks like Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite, water and ice too. The slot for the trip is from 7 AM to 1 PM. - Aruba Fishing Eight Hour Trip / Full-Day trips for $1000
These Includes turkey & ham sandwiches, Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite, water, and ice. The slot for the trip is from 8 AM to 4 PM.
You don’t need to bring anything. However, you can carry your beer, and we will keep it cold on board for you. If you need, bring some medication for sea sickness and sunscreen too.
Can you club two groups to share costs of a fishing trip?
No, we don’t help find two groups to share a trip. However, you can find another group at your hotel or on TripAdvisor to share your trip with you.
What to do with the fish after an Aruba fishing charter?
You can share the fish with the crew because this is how they sustain themselves. For your share, you can either prepare it yourself, or we can help you create a gourmet meal out of your catch of the day by taking it to the most popular seafood restaurant in Aruba – Driftwood Restaurant. The crew will clean your fish and make the reservations at the restaurant. At the restaurant, you will be treated to a seafood feast with your fish prepared four different ways and served with delectable side dishes like the local cornbread, Bati, white rice, baked potatoes, vegetables, and fried plantains. For just $19 per person, you can eat as much of your catch as you want. That’s the perfect way to end an awesome day of fishing in Aruba.
Do I need to provide my credit card information for the booking?
Our reservations are made online, and we send a confirmatory message to your email and phone. You do not need to pay beforehand. However, if you want to prepay, you will have to put down your credit card information for billing.
Is sea sickness common while deep sea fishing?
Yes, it is. The waters in the deep sea can get choppy. So, if you or anyone in your group already suffers from sea sickness, it is not advisable for such a person to go in the middle of the deep seas. It is best that they stay on land.
Even if you don’t suffer from any such condition, it is still recommended that you take the required medication to stay safe.
What do you need to go deep sea fishing?
Deep sea fishing requires you to be on a boat that is constantly moving and fitted with thick lines and sturdy rods. Deep sea fishes will put up a fight, and you need special equipment to catch them.
Our boat is specially designed for the purpose of deep sea fishing. We have Bertram Sportfisherman, which is a 37 feet long. This yacht is fitted with professionally installed Rupp tournament outriggers, Penn downriggers, and tournament tackle by Shimano. Apart from the equipment to catch the fish, our boats also have a fridge, freezer, AC, microwave, and even a stand-up shower. Our yacht has everything that you can possibly need while fishing and to have fun while doing it.
So, you don’t need to bring anything. But, if you want you can bring your own beer and some sunscreen.
When do we have to be at the dock?
Fifteen minutes before the trip begins. This will make sure that we can start the trip on time. So, you will get the maximum value out of your money. And that is what we all want.
