Living Easy Sport Fishing Charters Aruba comes from a long line of family-owned businesses. We love fishing and everything to do with it.

It all started when Herbert Merryweather, lovingly known as Herby Sr., fell in love with the art of fishing. He became a fisherman and wanted people to enjoy the beautiful fish he caught off the waters of Aruba. Call it his love for fishing or his desire to share the delectable fresh fish of Aruba; he opened a restaurant in 1986. He wanted to serve people the freshest fish that he caught the same day, and a restaurant was the best way to do that. Sure enough, his work of passion has today grown into the most popular Seafood Restaurant on the island – Driftwood Restaurant. Keeping in line with his love for fishing, he then went on to open Driftwood Fishing Charters. This way, the guests can catch the fish themselves and enjoy it for dinner the very same evening.

Herbert Sr. later passed on the reins of his business to his son, Herbert Merryweather Jr. Captain Herby, as people lovingly call him, is another master fisherman in the family. He runs the family business along with his mother, Francine De Lannoy.

Living Easy Sport Fishing Charters Aruba is the brainchild of Captain Herby. It is a product of his desire to take people on awesome deep-sea fishing trips through world-class fishing charters. Following on his father’s footsteps, he has also opened another restaurant – Redfish. It is another successful venture by the family which serves sinful dishes like fried fish, cheese-covered chicken stews, and more delicacies.

Both Driftwood Fishing Charters and Living Easy Sport Fishing Charters Aruba have three state-of-the-art deep-sea fishing boats at their disposal. These are equipped with the most modern fishing equipment to help catch the most elusive fishes in the Aruba waters.
